Accessibility statement

Garry Craft aims to keep the shop usable for everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader or magnification. Below is the honest picture: what works, what we checked and what we have not fixed yet.

What is accessible

  • The whole shop — from the catalogue to placing an order — can be operated with the keyboard alone.
  • Keyboard focus is always visible, and a “Skip to content” link opens each page.
  • Headings form a correct hierarchy and the page uses proper landmarks.
  • Every form field has a label; errors are text, not just a red border, and are announced to screen readers.
  • Product photos have alternative text; decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
  • Leather, thread and hardware choices, as well as delivery and payment, behave as radio groups with a state assistive technology can read.
  • Dialogs close with Esc, keep focus inside and return it afterwards.
  • Text contrast meets 4.5:1, and no state is conveyed by colour alone.
  • The layout reflows for narrow screens and magnification, without horizontal scrolling.

Known limitations

  • The parcel locker map is a component supplied by InPost; its accessibility is outside our control. A text search for a locker — by city or post code — always works alongside it.
  • The payment page belongs to Przelewy24 and follows their own accessibility statement.
  • We have not yet completed full screen reader testing with NVDA and VoiceOver on every purchase path.
  • Videos embedded from external services may lack captions.

How we test

Three levels: automated axe-core checks on every main page after each change, a manual keyboard-only walk through the shop, and contrast and zoom checks. Results go into an internal log. An automated test does not prove full conformance — which is why the gaps above are listed rather than hidden.
